As a focused specialist bank, BayernLB is a key investment financer for the Bavarian and German economy. Lorenc were appointed alongside Knight Frank and Loop Local to re-imagine and implement workplace concept for Bayern’s London team. Supporting Client in their intent to provide “the best place possible for staff to work in”, we methodically addressed all parameters: impressive Client areas, social spaces, comfort & wellbeing, acoustics, and green targets.

Completed in 2023 the 50-storey 8 Bishopsgate by WilkinsonEyre is one of London’s newest high rise mixed use towers. With BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating is the most sustainable speculative tall commercial scheme in the UK.

Our aim was to create a simple yet modern, warm, progressive, sustainable, flexible, and inviting home for the Bayern LB London Branch, incorporating a new, fresh, simple, and forward-looking design. Capitalising on panoramic views, the space located on 37th floor is filled with abundant daylight, and considered blend of openness and secure zoning. Client areas are carefully crafted to support face to face and hybrid meeting formats. Cruciform desk clusters are accompanied by quiet zones, booths, brainstorming areas and generous social areas. Warm colour palette and premium quality tactile materials create a welcoming and comforting contrast against dramatic envelope of the building.
